♥ ¡Feliz Día de los Muertos!

I'm absolutely fascinated with this holiday, especially in its modern way of celebration. Traditionally this holiday is meant for friends and families to get together to remember the beautiful lives of people who have passed. I think this is important. Losing a loved one is a really difficult thing to fully grasp and come to terms with and when we all come together, it can really become a positive thing, to celebrate life.

I would like to showcase a few sneak peak photos from the 'Dia De Los Muertos' photo shoot by my good friend and photographer Addison Gumbert.

'I strive to expose the subject’s beauty, especially in the qualities that distinguish them from anyone else, and I capture their sincerity in one frame by relating to my subjects, reversing the performer/audience model so ingrained in my training.'
-Addison Gumbert

Her use of lighting is fantastic and I love the intricate hair pieces. It's beautiful and eerie!
